    Welcome to Kauai Veterans Center - Official Website. A short 5 minutes from Lihue Airport on Kapule Highway and within walking distance, the Kauai Veterans Center is the proud home of the Kauai Veterans Museum and the Office of Veterans Services. The Kauai Veterans Center is a great gathering place for our Military Community and Veteran Organizations.

Mission Statement:

The Kauai Veterans Center exists to promote and enhance the delivery of benefits to all Veterans, their families, and dependents of those who have given their lives for their country.  It is a standing monument that honors their service, promotes their military heritage and embraces their family.  All personnel associated with the Kauai Veterans Center will maintain and foster the highest respect and honor for those who have given their lives and for those who are currently protecting our country.  
Special Events or Meeting Facility
Kauai Veteran Center is a private modern facility with multiple Conference Rooms, large beautifully maintained full-facility ballroom, large commercial size kitchen, safe and clean facilities, centrally located with ample free parking.  A great choice of venue for your next meeting, community or private event or special occasion.

Silver and Bronze Star Conference Room
It has an accordion door to separate the rooms or left open for a larger group. 

These rooms are dedicated to the our local heroes receiving the Silver Star and Bronze Star Medals.  
Room size 19 ft x 19 ft & 16 ft x 19 ft.

  Maximum capacity for audience style set up ( without tables ) 75 - 80. Air conditioned has a drop down screen between the flags, 2 wall to wall white boards with 2 moving panels on the left side of the conference room and a 55 inch LED TV Flat screen for a power point ( add'l fees ).
Purple Heart Room
This room is dedicated to the recipients of the Purple Heart Medal. Room measures 22 ft x 19 ft. Maximum capacity for audience style set up ( without tables ) 35 - 40. Air conditioned with a 47 inch LCD TV flat screen ( add'l fees ) and wall to wall white boards.

Miss Kauai Veteran 2015:
Competing against 10 equally beautiful and highly qualified applicants, Ms. Deanna Sloger, a senior representing Island School, has      been selected as Miss Kauai Veteran - 2015. Deanna will spend the year of her reign attending various veteran functions around the      island. In her essay Deanna wrote of veterans, “These men and women put their lives on the line every day that they were on duty. They   were and are still some of the most selfless and serving people you will ever meet and we should acknowledge them for their sacrifice    whenever we get a chance, not just on special days.”  Congratulations to Deanna and her proud parents Thom and Dora Sloger of Eleele.

2015 COLA Increase:
The COLA for 2015 is 1.7 percent. This increase applies to all federal retirement, SSA and VA benefits.

Medicare Part B Premiums Unchanged for 2015:
For the approximately 49 million Americans enrolled in Medicare Part B, premiums and deductibles will remain unchanged in 2015 at    $104.90 and $147, respectively. Medicare Part B covers physicians’ services, outpatient hospital services, certain home health              services, durable medical equipment, and other items. (US Department of Health and Human Services News Release)

VA Provides Guidance to Same-Sex Married Couples Seeking Benefits:

The VA has begun processing all claims and applications involving same-sex marriages. VA’s website                           (http://www.va.gov/opa/marriage/) informs Veterans and beneficiaries of the recent changes in law and the procedures for claiming benefits. Additionally, the website provides important information to help Veterans and beneficiaries understand eligibility requirements under federal law and VA regulations.

Military Veterans Identification:
Hawaii’s veterans and National Guard personnel have the option of placing the word “Veteran” on newly issued motor vehicle operator’s permits at the DMV. This distinction will permit veterans to readily show proof of eligibility for veterans discounts offered by various businesses and restaurants without having to present military discharge documents.

Veterans Center Flea Market/Swap Meet/Craft Fair:
The Kauai Veterans Center is seeking local community food and craft vendors interested in displaying their wares and goodies in a friendly drug and alcohol-free environment where your friends and neighbors will feel welcome. Grief Counseling:
Kaua`i Hospice offers grief counseling and grief support groups for anyone who is having difficulty adjusting to life after loss. One or more individual or group sessions may be what you need to get “unstuck” in order to start feeling better. Give us a call at 245-7277 to schedule an appointment or register for one of our grief support groups.
